PURPOSE The purpose of this job is to translate engineering concepts into engineering designs and manage engineering projects to ensure that they are implemented according to engineering best practices, inline with our Safety and Food safety as well as Sustainability requirements focussed on control related parts of projects. THE ROLE Functional Strategic elements *- Develop Engineering Concepts and designs for site based projects in line with segment control standards *- Translation of initial engineering concepts into an engineering design and costing *- Assure that electrical and control design of new installation are according Mars, Segment and site standards on components and safety requirements. *- Execute projects as team member or project leader according to PM Methodology accountable for Business result delivery (scope, time, budget and quality). *- Develop and maintain site electrical and control policy's *- Actively participate in segment control standard meetings and representing site engineering *- Support the development and implementation of the site (control) masterplan *- Support business focused technical innovations *-Develop and drive knowledge management (Procedures, Technologies) for maintenance and reliability team. *- Develop suppliers, where appropriate, into strategic partnership, innovate and standardise *- Use the segment engineering team to exchange and determine best practices in the common technologies and catalyse developments for the site Operational Elements *- Apply business mindset on engineering / technical solutions, incl. innovative use / sharing of assets, buying alternatives, suppliers base *- Deliver project in compliance with Human Safety and Food Quality & Safety standards, as agreed upfront within the project scope *- Deliver project in conformance with relevant Legal and Corporate Standards, and ISO procedures for products, people, assets & environment *- Support maintenance and reliability team on root cause analysis and solutions with regards to Factory IT and controls. Networking element *- Contribute to and play an active role in Food Segment Engineering community *- Develop a strong network to encourage innovation and external perspectives, eg European food, cross-segment *- Technically manage project implementation / integration team, including all stakeholders and it's communication. Generate commitment and clarity in roles and responsibilities. ABOUT YOU *- Bachelor or master degree in control Engineering *- Excellent Project Management skills and a proven track record in delivering automation projects, *- Proven knowledge and understanding of control systems (including level 2 applications) *- Strong analytical skills. *- Motivating and explaining technical changes *- Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
