QA Manager with significant experience in food (fresh produce) wanted by progressive company based in Cambridgeshire.
Reporting to the Technical Manager the QA Manager is responsible for overseeing Safety, monitoring and managing issues of quality, cost and delivery site wide. This will include:
*- Audits and non conformance action
*- Manage HACCP and Quality manuals
*- Maintain and improve standards for BRC
*- Drive standards through adherence to and resolution of GMP issues
*- Manage Health & Safety, carry out risk assessments
*- Monitor and enforce good environmental practices
*- Waste management and pollution control
*- Accurate record keeping
Technical competence is a prerequisite of success in this role, however a key success indicator will be the ability to develop, mentor and coach teams to achieve cohesion and high standards of performance, encouraging a culture of continual learning and self development whilst managing change.
The ideal candidate will already be in a similar role preferably in a fresh produce environment and be able to demonstrate significant previous achievement in driving standards and building teams. Involvement in and extensive knowledge of BRC audits will be a distinct advantage. You should be comfortable in a stand alone role but able to work within a team ethos, confident in decision making, able to communicate effectively across all levels, able to negotiate “win wins” across departments whilst building an environment of co-operation for the good of the business and the customer.
