The Role This is a co-pilot role which sits in a very busy Finance Team, helping to drive the success of this site which has seen year on year growth for the last 6 years. A key role, helping to drive the business performance through the production and evaluation of business information files, supporting management and marketing teams in the UK and EU, providing insightful information and challenging pre –conceptions – all in all providing a “cockpit snapshot” of business performance information to cross-functional teams to help them improve outcomes for the good of the business. Skills and Qualifications Success in this role will make demands on a wide range of professional and personal abilities. It goes without saying that you will need strong financial skills and have previous relevant experience. You will be able to analyse high levels of business data, able to distil from that the key business insights which will provide drive and impetus to product developments and financial improvements, and to have the written and verbal communication skills to be able to present your findings up to board level. Making sense of your findings will demand vision, the ability to see the “Big Picture” beyond the pure financials, and the business acumen to determine what needs to be done. Ideally a graduate (in a Finance / Accounting discipline or equivalent) qualified accountant with CIMA / ACA / ACCA qualification and commercial experience in a large organisation. Part qualified candidates with a commitment to on-going technical learning and strong commercial experience would also be considered. A good working knowledge of Excel (preferably advanced) is required.
